She’s humming a tune
She’s humming a tune
To keep herself from thinking
About all that she’s facing
But her mind is racing
Over and over again
And I don’t suppose she knows
Everything that’s bound to happen
How and where the story goes
And I don’t suppose I care
She’s up tight, not right
What could it matter to me
She’s humming a tune
To keep herself from straying
When everything’s swaying
And decisions are weighing
Ever so hard on her mind
And I don’t suppose she knows
Everything that’s bound to happen
How and where the story goes
And I don’t suppose I care
I’m bumped out, no doubt
But what does it matter to me

A fantastic song written in the early 80's, it's the best song of the album Cast in Steel in my opinion.😐

I agree!

The best years were from hunting high and low to memorial beach. I was younger, less cynical and, the most importantly of all, i was less old !
The songwritting was brillant at this period, which is no longer the case at all since few years ... i realised that it started to fall with the album foot of mountains, the songs were really good, but there's something missing... until the last true north.(a real disaster this album exepted few tracks).
