OK, der junge Mann hört sich noch eher nach einer Frau an. Aber er ist auch erst 13 Jahre alt! Sehr schöne Version!

Thunder Jackson's a-ha Moment
October 19, 2021
For Oklahoma-born, LA-based artist Thunder Jackson it all started with Elvis. Or rather, an Elvis impersonator— namely, his father. Having spent his early years following his father’s act to state fairs and bars across the Midwest, it's evident why the artist FKA Kyle Bradley felt drawn to the idea of creating an alter ego suited for his own eccentric stage presence.
But it wasn’t until he’d left home, a restless teenager, and headed West that Kyle’s journey as Thunder Jackson truly began. In an eye-rollingly Hollywood encounter in a rideshare, Cardiff producer Pete Lawrie Winfield heard Kyle singing along to the radio, and the rest is history.

As evidenced by the 2017 viral hit “Guilty Party”, followed by a self-titled album, the two made for a winning team. Thunder Jackson’s tracks had garnered an immediate positive response— there’s something about it that is both nostalgic for late ‘80s early ‘90s hits, as much as it is inherently youthful and hyper-present. His brand of electropop, bolstered by the quality of Winfield’s production, makes for the kind of music that gets played loud, and on a loop, until the neighbors complain.
“True-to-form, Thunder Jackson’s latest single “Take On Me”, a cover of the classic a-ha track, delivers that same energy— the kind that has us singing with our friends at the dive-y karaoke bar until four in the morning. And during these times, when no doubt we could all use a go-to dance track, Thunder Jackson is the ticket.
"It’s funny, I never thought I would do this song but I remember sitting down at my piano trying to think of some Inspiration and the words of “Take On Me” just flew right out of my mouth. The lyrics to this song are absolutely gorgeous and haunting when you really strip it back. I think that’s what moved me towards this song. It was such a pleasure to be able to put my own twist on such a classic song and collaborate with Ryland Blackington.”Watch the video for "Take On Me" below.

Hm, auch eine Art doppelte Cover-Version: Jedes Mal im Refrain klingt's nach Take On Me und das Mädchen aus dem Video wird dazu in den selbst gezeichneten Comic hineingezogen!

It doesn't sound like the chorus of Take on Me but that's sound like the intro cause it's the same notes (sung) as the intro. A small part of the clip is logically inspired by the original video. The girl does not find herself in the comic strip at any time.
She draws a DJ with his turntable and an arm comes out of the notebook, the girl then finds herself with the 2 DJs, the second time she finds herself in a police car....

OK, to be precise: she's not in the 2D drawings of the comic strip, but in the scene that she drew in her comic.
